Snow Pine Estates at Big White is a true ski neighbourhoods where you’ll feel like you are deep in the mountains. Towering pines are scattered here and there. During the winter there seems to be endless amounts of snow piles wherever there is room, then summer comes and as the snow melts the chunky rock upon which these homes are built is exposed about as quickly as the bright green vegetation takes off all around. Ski homes at Snow Pine Estates have been built tall, often 3 stories allowing for the private feeling that comes from being up off the ground. Development of this neighbourhood got underway in 1990 and construction was steady throughout the ‘90s, continuing until about 2005. Although some homes are now nearly 30 years old many of these older homes have been renovated since. Architecturally, many homes at Snow Pine Estates have been designed in the raised A frame style with steep roof pitches and many homes feature exposed timber and solid wood trim both inside and out.
