White Forest Estates at Big White is a ski neighbourhood for families looking to be close to everything. Ski-in and ski-out with the Happy Valley Way ski run passing right by or take a short stroll into Big White Village for shopping and restaurants. White Forest Estate’s position on the mountain’s South-southeastern slopes give it stunning views of the Monashee Mountains and depending on just where you’re situated you might even get a glimpse of the Flying Pineapples (Big White’s yellow gondola)! White Forest Estates is an exclusive ski home community consisting of 15 completely private luxury ski chalets on Moonshine Crescent and Bear Foot Lane, tucked into the forested hillside just below the Bullet chair lift. Snow Pine Estates at Big White is a true ski neighbourhoods where you’ll feel like you are deep in the mountains. Towering pines are scattered here and there. During the winter there seems to be endless amounts of snow piles wherever there is room, then summer comes and as the snow melts the chunky rock upon which these homes are built is exposed about as quickly as the bright green vegetation takes off all around. Ski homes at Snow Pine Estates have been built tall, often 3 stories allowing for the private feeling that comes from being up off the ground. Development of this neighbourhood got underway in 1990 and construction was steady throughout the ‘90s, continuing until about 2005. Although some homes are now nearly 30 years old many of these older homes have been renovated since. Architecturally, many homes at Snow Pine Estates have been designed in the raised A frame style with steep roof pitches and many homes feature exposed timber and solid wood trim both inside and out.

The Forest is a collection of luxury townhouses tucked among the pines up on the hillside just off the Snow Pine Estates neighbourhood. These beautiful ski chalets are very private; unlike many townhouses, these were built with only one or two homes per building. Big White Village was the first neighbourhood to take shape with development on the mountain starting in the mid-60s. Today, Big White village is home to 235 townhouses that were built from the late 90s through to the late 2000s. These homes have all been designed with the classic ski chalet in mind with steep roofs and heavy use of timber and stone. While many are attached homes they typically offer private entrances, garage parking, and decks for barbecuing and relaxing in the hot tub. This neighbourhood is also of course where you’ll find more the two dozen original Big White cabins and ski homes built in the late 60s and early 70s. Big White Village is not only the location of hundreds of ski homes but is also the hub for activities and amenities at Big White. Living in this neighbourhood allows you to be within walking distance to the Village Centre Mall, several hotels, and a handful of restaurants, shops, and cafes.
